2 Pepperidge Farm Patty Shells

1 Small lactose-free Gouda Cheese

1/2 tsp.  caraway seeds

1 egg

1-2 Tblsp mustard

 

Thaw patty shells for 20 min.  Roll on floured board until one shell is 5" in diameter, the other 6".  Try to maintain a perfect circle.

Place peeled gouda on the smaller circle.  Brush the other shell with mustard.

Beat egg with whisk.  Brush egg wash around outer edge of shells.  Please larger circle on top of gouda and seal edges.

Put cheese in an over proof serving dish, place in 450º pre-heated oven.  Immediately drop temperature to 400º, bake 15-20 minutes, or until pastry is golden brown.  Some cheese may escape from crust.

Server with crackers.
